Carbonite has quietly increased their prices for unlimited online backup to $59 per year, up 7% from $54.95 previously.
2 years will cost you $109 ($54.50 annual cost), and 3 years $139 ($46.33 annual cost).

While one of the few remaining unlimited online backup providers, they are now one of the more expensive options.
Backblaze remains $50 per year, while IDrive‘s unlimited offering is just $49.50.
While Carbonite and IDrive both offer unlimited online backups, they both limit the speed at which you can upload your data (see Carbonite Upload Speed Calculator). Backblaze currently does not limit your upload speeds.
The past few years, these online backup services were in a race to pick up as many users as possible. However, it’s now time for them to turn to profitability, which is why we’re seeing changes such as Mozy’s price increase and elimination of unlimited online backups and Carbonite’s price increase.
