Last night, IDrive announced the winner of their MacBook Pro 13″

Now for the GRAND PRIZE WINNER of our latest #ILoveIDrive contest! Congrats go to @go4it7arh! You won a MacBook Pro 13″!!!

Shortly after, other contestants began questioning the eligibility of the winner:

IDrive quickly reacted, taking back the MacBook Pro from the winner:

It’s not unusual for tweeple to post young-looking pics or cartoon pics on their profiles, so it is hard to determine age among contestants.

And, after picking another contestant, announced the winner:

Pardon the earlier rules drama… our official GRAND PRIZE #ILoveIDrive contest winner is… (drum roll) @TXBrad! You won a MacBook Pro 13″!

Andrew complained,

@iDrive_online This doesn’t make sense. You sent me an email that said I was still eligible to win the MacBook Pro,..

It’d be interesting to see what this email that Andrew is talking about says. However, the contest rules clearly stated that contestants must be over 16 years of age, which Andrew clearly isn’t. Maybe IDrive should have checked with the winner before announcing who it was.

Hopefully, this incident hasn’t dampened IDrive’s contest spirit, as this isn’t the first time they’ve given away IDrive Portables and a MacBook Pro, and we hope it isn’t the last.
