EMC Information Honors Program

EMC Students who have completed the Information Storage and Management curriculum during the 2009/2010 school year with the highest GPA at one of more than 300 colleges and universities within the EMC Academic Alliance will be rewarded for their efforts. EMC, which owns Decho, of which Mozy is a product, will give away an Iomega StorCenter ix2 and a 2-year Mozy online backup subscription.

IDrive is at is again with a new Twitter contest! The rules are quite simple: follow @IDrive_Online on Twitter, then tweet (up to 10 times per day) something with the #ILoveIDrive hash-tag.

IDrive will choose 1 tweet each day, who will win an IDrive Portable drive. Then at the end of the contest, all of the eligible tweets will be entered to win a MacBook Pro 13″.

This weekend, we’re celebrating the Dads in our lives, but we can never forget about our Moms, and neither can Mozy.

June is Backup Awareness Month

June is Backup Awareness Month and to honor this distinction, Backblaze is giving a 1-year license every day this month. If you haven’t read our Backblaze review yet, the gist of it is they offer unlimited backups for Mac and PC for $5 / month. They’re one of our top-ranked online backup companies.

Now if you’re reading this, you’re at least interested in backing up your data. However, 94% of computer users do not do regular backups daily, although each year, 46% of computer users lose electronic data including photos and music, from viruses, theft, and hard drive failures.
